The Hypermobility Health Connect® Self-Screening Test (free of charge)

If you are just starting on your Hypermobility journey, or are unsure where to begin, the Self-Screening Test is your best place to start. This step-by-step screening tool is designed to help you understand whether you may meet the criteria for Hypermobility, HSD, or hEDS. At the end of the process, you’ll receive a personalised summary (PDF report) to help support your self-advocacy and guide discussions with your GP, specialist, or allied health professional.

Thousands have completed the test, with 9 out of 10 rating it ‘easy’ to complete and 86% reporting increased confidence to discuss their symptoms with a health professional.

You may benefit from starting with the Self-Screening Test if you:

  • are curious or unsure where to begin with hypermobility or HSD/hEDS

  • are feeling overwhelmed by symptoms, information, or conflicting advice

  • are struggling to get clear answers from health professionals

  • have symptoms but no diagnosis or feel you’re being overlooked

  • are exploring hypermobility for the first time and want a structured place to start

Our Self-Screening Test has already helped thousands of people across Australia and overseas better understand their hypermobility, strengthen their self-advocacy, and feel more confident seeking care. But throughout this journey, one message has come through louder than any other: “I wish I could speak with someone who truly understands me.”

The reality is that many health professionals are still catching up when it comes to recognising and diagnosing conditions like HSD and hEDS. So we created a solution in direct response to what you’ve told us you need most.

“Beyond the Bend is a nationwide specialist telehealth assessment service designed to bridge the gap between your Self-Screening Test and an official diagnosis. It provides a clinically validated, practitioner-endorsed assessment from one of Australia’s leading experts – giving your GP or specialist the clarity and confidence they need to take the next steps in your care.

Private health fund and medicare rebates may apply.
